    Job Title: Controls Installer

    Job Description

    Position Overview: The role of Controls Installer entails working on-site, operating under the direct supervision of the site superintendent, in close collaboration with a team of professionals. The primary objective is to facilitate the installation of low-voltage building automation and HVAC control systems within commercial structures. This role requires a high level of expertise, professionalism, and dedication to ensure the efficient and reliable installation of complex building automation systems in military installations. Your contributions are critical to the success of our projects, and we always expect the highest standards of performance and safety.

    Responsibilities

    + Travel: Traveling to multiple states to perform work at various military installations.

    + Conduit Installation: Installation of conduit up to 1" EMT & Rigid.

    + Cabling and Sensor Installation: Installation of low-voltage cabling and sensors.

    + Control Panel Installation: Installation of low-voltage control panels.

    + Wiring and Termination: Wiring and termination of low-voltage control panels and associated devices.

    Essential Skills

    + Installation Experience: A proven track record with a minimum of 1-3 years in conduit and wire installation within a commercial setting.

    + Blueprint Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints.

    + Mobility: A willingness to travel full-time.

    + Driving Record: Holding a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    + Background Check: A clean background check.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Installation of commercial building automation and HVAC controls systems.

    + OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30.

    + Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field plus three years of industry experience.

    + Ten-plus years of experience in servicing mechanical equipment control systems in the HVAC industry.

    + Systems integration and development work on Niagara / Tridium based systems.

    + General knowledge of commercial control systems, facilities management systems, energy management practices, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.

    + Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts ethically and professionally.

    + Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.

    + Leadership skills to support the activities of Technicians working on complex, critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.

    + PC experience and the ability to program facility automation controls related software.

    + AutoCAD or similar experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

    Work Environment

     

    Most of the work is conducted on military bases, requiring openness to travel. The role involves hands-on installation and maintenance tasks, ensuring that safety and precision are always prioritized.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
