Job Title: Genetic Counselor
Job Description
This position involves providing remote infertility-related genetic counseling for ART practices with offices across the United States. You will conduct both test result delivery and comprehensive sessions. As a genetic counseling resource for reproductive specialists, you will serve a diverse population of patients, supported by a large team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists. You will have the ability to identify and implement processes to improve the patient experience and will have opportunities to participate in educational and research initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Provide remote genetic counseling related to infertility for ART practices.
+ Conduct test result delivery and comprehensive counseling sessions.
+ Serve as a genetic counseling resource for reproductive specialists.
+ Support and collaborate with a large team of genetic counselors and medical geneticists.
+ Identify and implement processes to improve patient experience.
+ Participate in educational and research initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Master of Science or Master of Art in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling.
+ ABMG certification.
+ Multi-state license for West Coast states.
+ 2-3 years of previous genetic counseling experience in fertility and infertility.
+ Proficiency in medical notes.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills.
+ Organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in genetic counseling, with 4+ years preferred.
+ Efficiency and organization.
+ Ability to understand medical implications and produce reports with quick turnaround times.
+ Flexibility in work schedule.
+ Preference for West Coast schedule or residence.
+ Multiple state licenses are advantageous.
Work Environment
This position is fully remote. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. You will be part of a small specialty fertility team consisting of 16 counselors and 2 managers. The team and leadership offer continuous education, good interaction, and support.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.
