    Job Title: Metal Frame Carpenter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Metal Frame Carpenter to prepare and finish drywall surfaces for painting or other finishes. The role involves applying tape and compound to seams, corners, and angles, sanding and smoothing surfaces to achieve a flawless finish, and repairing and patching damaged drywall. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and read specifications listed by the general contractor and blueprints.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and finish drywall surfaces for painting or other finishes.

    + Apply tape and compound to seams, corners, and angles.

    + Sand and smooth surfaces to achieve a flawless finish.

    + Repair and patch damaged drywall.

    + Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    + Read specifications listed by general contractor and blueprints to complete project on time and on budget.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of installation of metal stud framing.

    + Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.

    + Strong understanding of rough carpentry techniques and methods.

    + Excellent attention to detail and precision.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in commercial construction.

    + Knowledge of rough carpentry and EIFS.

    + Experience as a Construction Foreman.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
