Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of General Production Worker, with responsibilities in managing the conversion of micro-prism films. This position offers an entry-level opportunity for Conversion Technicians, while Films Technicians are expected to be mechanically inclined. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the conversion of micro-prism films.

+ Oversee material flow to the machines and load film on and off machines.

+ Slit materials to specified widths and lengths, set up, and perform splices.

+ Ensure compliance with all required ISO documentation.

+ Monitor machines and make necessary adjustments.

+ Conduct quality checks to ensure product conformance.

+ Monitor and record pressure and ranges as required.

+ Process work orders in ERP systems.

+ Retrieve chemicals and materials needed for processing.

+ Enter maintenance requests in the Computer Maintenance Management System.

+ Maintain documentation for all required machine reports.

+ Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical aptitude in some capacity.

+ At least 6 months of experience in an industrial environment.

+ Preferably some experience in assembly or machine operating.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Open to candidates with trade school experience.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing floor operates on three shifts, using high-tech machines for film conversion in a clean, well-lit, and spacious environment. Employees must train on the first shift initially, with eventual placement on either the 2nd or 3rd shift, which includes a shift differential. PPE such as steel or composite-toed shoes and safety glasses are required, with hearing protection necessary in certain areas. Enjoy the gym facility above the manufacturing floor, complete with locker room access.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
