Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with programming capabilities to join our team on the 2nd shift. The role involves operating numerically controlled machine tools to perform complex machining operations on a diverse line of work, ensuring close and exacting tolerance and finish specifications. This position requires proficiency in CNC 3 Axis programming of vertical mills and includes responsibilities such as machine setup, operation, and performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

+ Operate numerically controlled machine tools.

+ Perform complex series of progressive machining operations.

+ Check parts for conformance to specifications.

+ Run multiple units simultaneously when necessary.

+ Program CNC 3 Axis vertical mills.

+ Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mills.

+ Understand and apply Fanuc and G&M codes.

+ Perform quality checks and make machine offsets as necessary.

+ Read and understand part designs.

+ Demonstrate functional familiarity with CAD.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma.

+ 3 years of direct hands-on experience with CNC Vertical Mills.

+ 3 years of experience with tool changes, edits of G&M codes, offsets, and blueprint reading.

+ Experience in programming with WorkNC CAM or RTM/Lemoine CAM Software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Fidia, Heidenhain, or Fanuc machine controls is advantageous.

+ 3+2 5-axis machining experience is a plus.

+ Experience with machining of 3D contour surfaces.

+ Experience in injection mold core/cavity/component and/or model machining.

+ Experience in injection mold 2D plate machining and 2D component machining.

Work Environment

Our facility includes two mold build shops and a production shop, set in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. We provide eye and ear protection as needed, and require close-toed shoes at all times. The 2nd shift team has a smaller group size of about 12, allowing for a more personalized working experience.

This is a Permanent position based out of AUBURN HILLS, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
