Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator Trainee where you will immerse yourself in the dynamic environment of manufacturing stainless steel tubing. This position involves working closely with rotating machinery to ensure the precision and quality of our products. You will assist in the operation of machines, engage in manual labor, and contribute to a seamless production process. This role demands physical stamina as you will be on your feet throughout the day, moving and handling tubing to ensure optimal machine setup. Each task begins with a work order detailing the necessary actions, after which you will input relevant data into the computer system for subsequent processing.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in operating machinery used for manufacturing stainless steel tubing.
+ Conduct manual labor to straighten and correct any imperfections in tubing.
+ Handle and move tubing as required to ensure proper machine setup.
+ Receive and execute tasks according to work orders attached to product bundles.
+ Input completed task information into computer systems.
+ Explain in detail the types of machines operated and tasks performed during the interview.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing role.
+ Understanding of work orders and manufacturing processes.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet all day.
+ Experience as a machine operator, assembly, or production worker.
+ Ability to explain tasks and machinery operations in detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical manufacturing experience.
+ Experience with micrometers or calipers is a plus.
+ Experience in skilled trades such as plumbing or carpentry involving measurements and tool usage.

Work Environment
Work in a large, non-climate controlled manufacturing facility that can be loud and hot depending on your location. The position is primarily on the second shift from 2pm to 12:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with possible overtime on Fridays. Initial training will occur on the first shift from 4am to 2:30pm for about a month, offering flexibility for candidates who cannot commit to first shift training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
