    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

    Join a family-owned metal fabrication shop in Clackamas as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials and products are accurately received, documented, and delivered to local customers. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team in a dynamic environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or invoices.

    + Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and arranging transportation.

    + Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

    + Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

    + Inspect goods for damages or defects upon receipt.

    + Operate forklifts or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.

    + Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.

    + Deliver orders once packaged and ready to ship.

    + Drive up to Eugene, OR, for deliveries, ensuring same-day return.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in order fulfillment, e-commerce, shipping and receiving, or a related field.

    + Proficiency in using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

    + Knowledge of basic math for inventory counting and order picking.

    + Familiarity with Sigma MRP or other ERP/MRP software.

    + Clean driving record, as the position involves approximately 50% deliveries.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

    + Experience with shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics.

    + Skill in driving 20ft flatbed trucks.

    + Proficiency with computer systems and customer service.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a family-owned fabrication shop with a strong focus on culture. Join a smaller team with opportunities to cross-train in different departments based on production needs. The day shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with potential for additional shifts based on performance. The role involves 'shop-like' tasks, and travel is limited to day trips only.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
