Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving inbound freight, processing and shipping outbound orders, and performing light assembly tasks. The role involves using bar code scanners and requires a passion for packaging boxes and moving materials efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience or comfort with cherry picking and forklift operations, although training will be provided.

Responsibilities

+ Receive inbound freight and process outgoing shipments.

+ Use bar code scanners for inventory management.

+ Perform light assembly tasks.

+ Safely lift 50-60 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.

+ Pick orders from an order sheet and meet hourly goals.

+ Maintain an accurate inventory and a clean, organized warehouse.

+ Load and unload materials, pick, pack, and ship orders.

+ Utilize handheld tools and operate material handling machinery such as pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and scales.

+ Ensure accurate data entry using multiple computer systems and programs.

+ Stock and move materials correctly throughout the warehouse.

+ Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory to maintain accurate data inventory.

+ Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.

+ Experience with bar code scanners.

+ Comfort with training on cherry pickers and forklift operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to use basic hand tools.

+ Previous warehouse experience.

+ Inventory control experience.

Work Environment

1st Shift Hours are 9:30am-6:30pm. The work environment is not climate controlled, but large ceiling fans circulate the air flow in the brand new facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
