    Job Title: Creo Specialist-PLM LibrarianJob Description

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PLM Librarian with strong Creo expertise to support a large-scale migration and cleanup effort. This role is critical in transitioning a vast library of CAD parts from Creo 6 to Creo 9, ensuring data integrity, model quality, and seamless integration into Windchill PLM. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Creo modeling best practices and the ability to manage CAD-to-PLM associations effectively.

    Responsibilities

    + Migrate and clean up a large volume of CAD library parts from Creo 6 to Creo 9.

    + Correct and optimize geometry to ensure solid, reusable models for future designs.

    + Maintain strong modeling standards, including naming conventions, surface/plane definitions, and coordinate systems.

    + Ensure accurate associations between CAD models and WTParts in Windchill.

    + Classify components using existing systems and enter specifications as attributes in Windchill.

    + Create and maintain common parts and reusable components.

    + Clean up and standardize descriptions, metadata, and documentation.

    + Act as a bridge between CAD and PLM, ensuring data consistency and traceability.

    + Provide training and guidance on PLM practices as needed.

    + Support ongoing data migration and cleanup efforts across the organization.

    Essential Skills

    + Expert-level experience with Creo (preferably Creo 9 or above).

    + Strong understanding of CAD modeling techniques, geometry validation, and best practices.

    + Experience with Windchill PLM.

    + Ability to interpret and apply specifications to component classification.

    + Familiarity with coordinate systems, datum features, and downstream component placement.

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in CAD library management or similar roles.

    + Background in mechanical design or engineering.

    + Familiarity with PLM data governance and lifecycle management.

    Work Environment

    This is a remote position offering a long-term role with opportunities for personal time off and holidays following a specific schedule. The role is part of a large, multi-year company-wide project aimed at simplifying designs and Bills Of Materials (BOMs) to enhance design efficiency. This project is integral to capturing market share in the wake of the Artificial Intelligence boom.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
