Job Title: Forklift Operator - Day Shift

Job Description

We are seeking skilled forklift operators to supply materials for production and transport completed parts to shipping for delivery. Additionally, operators may work in the shipping/receiving area to load trucks with completed parts. Candidates must be proficient with both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, depending on the assigned area.

1st shift hours: Monday to Thursday from 6:30am to 5:00pm, with potential overtime and some Friday and Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

+ Supply assemblers with necessary materials for production.

+ Transport completed parts to shipping for delivery.

+ Operate forklifts in tight quarters, ensuring safety.

+ Load trucks in the shipping/receiving area with completed parts.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.

+ Ability to pass a forklift test demonstrating safe and effective operation.

+ Warehouse shipping and receiving experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Material handling experience in a warehouse environment.

+ Willingness to cross train departments

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic facility with tight quarters, requiring strong attention to safety due to numerous forklifts and personnel. The facility is not climate-controlled, with warm conditions in summer and cooler temperatures in winter. Union dues apply once converted to full-time employment, but not during the contract period.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
