Job Title: Security Guard

Job Description

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for safeguarding property against damage, theft, fire, and unauthorized entry. You will perform regular rounds to ensure the security of the premises and enforce applicable laws and regulations. You will handle emergencies, investigate disturbances, and assist management and law enforcement officials when necessary.

Responsibilities

+ Guard property against damage, fire, theft, and unauthorized entry.

+ Conduct periodic rounds to ensure doors, windows, and gates are secured.

+ Enforce regulations and observe applicable laws.

+ Warn or evict individuals in the event of infractions.

+ Interview guests and employees to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.

+ Report irregularities to management.

+ Provide assistance to accident victims and handle emergencies.

+ Lift and move equipment or individuals when necessary.

+ Assist management and law enforcement in emergency situations and apprehend unauthorized persons.

+ Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

+ Report all accidents and injuries promptly.

+ Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

+ Participate in regular safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.

+ Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work.

+ Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures.

+ Attend training programs as designated.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

+ 0 to 2 years of related experience.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of security procedures.

+ Private security or public police experience preferred.

+ Ability to present oneself professionally with honesty and ethics.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and other departments.

+ Basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.).

+ Good attention to detail.

+ Ability to work well under pressure.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Drivers License required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
