Job Title: Rework Specialist
Job Description
As a Rework Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling, reworking, and reassembling products as specified in the applicable documentation. You will verify the accuracy of instruction documents and ensure that the work meets quality standards and specifications through thorough verification and testing. You will collaborate directly with your supervisor or lead to address work-related issues or product discrepancies, and record test data and results accurately. Additionally, you will train others in the test and inspection process and assist the Team Lead with planning, inventory control, and product movement.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble, rework, and reassemble products according to documentation.
+ Verify instruction documents for accuracy.
+ Check work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
+ Collaborate with supervisor or lead on work-related issues.
+ Record test data and results.
+ Train others in test and inspection processes.
+ Assist Team Lead with planning, inventory control, and product movement.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with production, soldering, and assembly.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding blueprints.
+ Mechanical aptitude and interest in electronics.
+ Ability to perform electronic assembly and work with small parts and PCB.
+ Strong communication skills and the willingness to learn soldering.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ High attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with small parts or hobbies requiring dexterity.
+ High School Diploma or GED preferred.
+ Good manual dexterity and high attention to detail.

Work Environment
The work environment is manufacturing casual, with HME coats and glasses provided. The facility operates with two shifts, starting at 5 am for the first shift and 2:30 pm for the second. The brand new manufacturing floor, built in 2018, includes a break room with multiple microwaves, refrigerators, and self-serve kiosks for food purchases. Employees can enjoy both inside and outside seating, along with multiple TVs on the floor.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.90 - $25.19/hr.
