    Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic

    Job Description

    The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft to ensure they are safe and airworthy. This role involves working on various aircraft systems including engines, hydraulics, avionics, and structural components, in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.

     

    + Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft.

    + Conduct inspections as per maintenance manuals and FAA regulations.

    + Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems and determine how to correct them.

    + Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged aircraft components.

    + Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in aircraft maintenance.

    + Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

    + Proficiency in performing inspections.

    + Possession of an A&P license is preferred.

    + General aviation experience is preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years of GA experience preferred.

    + 2-3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.

    + Basic hand tools for the job.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

    Work Environment

     

    The work is conducted in a Part 145 repair station. The shift is from 7AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Thursday, with an optional overtime day on Friday. There is a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
