Job Title: 1st Shift CNC Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our production team in Orange, CA, manufacturing wooden drawers. The position requires availability for overtime and weekends as needed, working Monday through Friday from 4 am to 12:30 pm.
Responsibilities
+ Operate CNC Mill machines to cut wood into shapes for assembly.
+ Perform point-to-point CNC cutting and pattern cutting using CNC.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Utilize digital calipers for metric and English measurements.
+ Observe and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including lock out/tag out procedures.
+ Change out tooling as necessary.
+ Follow quality procedures by performing in-process checks using the SPC system.
+ Maintain general housekeeping of the machine and immediate area.
+ Input data on move tickets and production control forms.
+ Support the team in achieving Safety, Production, and Quality goals.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CNC machine operation.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in woodworking and production processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ NTMA schooling is a plus.
+ Comfortable with math and measuring tools, such as rulers and calipers.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Preferred bilingual in Spanish.
+ Experience in the wood industry is advantageous.
+ Ability to lift and maneuver up to 15+ lbs.
+ Attention to detail in ensuring drawers are properly protected and secured.
+ Capability to use hands and remain on feet all day.
+ Mechanical aptitude to assist in other departments as needed.

Work Environment
The facility houses 63 employees and produces 1,000 drawer boxes daily. The environment can be dusty with wood shavings and sawdust, requiring openness to working Saturdays for overtime. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on role.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
