    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years of experience in administrative services.

    EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

    Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    + Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.

    + Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

    + Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.

    + Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

    + Performs responsible, initial departmental-program duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. May involve communication with other departments, customers, etc.

    + Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions.

    + Establishes new electronic health records folders and verifies correct name and medical record number for each new patient.

    + Manage electronic health records for all patients, ensuring records are complete.

    Position-Specific Details:

    This position may be filled as:

    + Temporary Job Appointment: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment not to exceed 48 months.

    + Probational Appointment: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.

    THE SALARY FOR THIS POSITION:

    + Administrative Coordinator 3 (pay grade level AS-609) has a minimum salary of $13.77/hourly; $1,101.60/bi-weekly.

    **Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
