Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description
The Engineering Technician will collaborate with the Engineering team to coordinate all production and post-processing activities. This role involves creating CNC code for capable and repeatable processes, performing process troubleshooting, improvements, validations, qualifications, and change control.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret print and models, create CNC programs, and set up machines for Swiss or Milling machine centers.
+ Develop a process that is capable, cost-effective, and sustainable.
+ Write work instructions and procedures to support the process.
+ Possess a full understanding of G-code.
+ Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles.
+ Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments.
+ Identify and complete continuous improvement projects, including cycle time reduction and perishable tooling selection and cost reduction.
+ Create and coordinate engineering tests.
+ Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance.
+ Assist in the development of tool design and CNC programming.
+ Modify BOM/BOO within the ERP system through change control.
+ Assist with costing and quoting functions for tooling.
+ Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAP structure.
+ Maintain machining and secondary operational processes.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in CNC Programming (Swiss).
+ Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including Solidworks, NX, and Esprit.
+ Precision manufacturing shop work history.
+ Experience in CNC programming and troubleshooting.
+ Understanding of machinery maintenance and CNC milling machine operations.
+ Knowledge of G-code, work instructions, and lean principles.
+ Familiarity with BOM and ERP systems.
+ Six Sigma training and demonstrated application.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-3 years of experience in a technical field.
+ Experience with CAD and CAM software, preferably Solidworks, NX, and Esprit.
+ Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts.
+ Experience working within an ISO environment.
Work Environment
This position is based in the Coon Rapids facility, where you will support the engineering team in equipment and process management. The role offers opportunities for career advancement into engineering positions. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machines, with ongoing automation updates. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Thursday, with 10-hour days and an additional 5.5 hours on Friday. The environment promotes great overall pay and provides the chance to work with cutting-edge technology.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
