Manufacturing Technician - Filling Operation - Sorrento Valley

1st and 2nd Shifts - $22/hr

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technicians to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include kitting and packaging operations to prepare manufactured cartridges for shipment across the US and internationally. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment and engage in filling operations, kitting assembly, and operating various process equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Filling operations duties including operating manual process equipment (heat sealers, die cutter, laser etches, and pumps)

+ Accurately prepare and fill chemical reagents according to established formulas and specifications

+ Operate and maintain manual filling equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for reagent preparation and filling processes

+ Conduct routine quality checks on reagents to verify accuracy and consistency in labeling and packaging (ex. Barcodes and SKU numbers)

+ Inspect filled reagent containers for leaks, proper labeling, and packaging integrity

+ Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor for troubleshooting and repairs

+ Work closely with production teams, quality control, and other departments to ensure efficient operations

Essential Skills

+ Experience in assembly, cleanroom, and production environments.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes and filling operations.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Proficiency in using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

+ Ability to perform laboratory inspections and manage batch records.

Work Environment

You will work in an ESD environment, donning lab coats and shoe covers. Initially, your schedule will be 9am to 5pm for the first week, transitioning to a regular shift time in the second week. One of the openings is on the first shift, from 6am to 2:30pm. Currently, overtime expectations are low, averaging about 8% per month.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
