    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of our company's products and equipment. This role involves performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance to support our 24-hour production operations.

     

    **Note** : If this shift does not suit you, we have other injection mold maintenance options with different companies, so still apply!

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and upkeep all company products and equipment.

    + Perform complex diagnostics, repair equipment, and perform preventative maintenance.

    + Establish, initiate, and maintain a preventative maintenance program.

    + Write and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Control) programs.

    + Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve machine/equipment problems.

    + Interpret diagrams, blueprints, operations manuals, and specifications.

    + Design, construct, maintain, and repair secondary fixtures.

    + Work with production staff to analyze inconsistent machine performance.

    + Conduct performance testing as needed.

    + Ensure all equipment operates in accordance with safety rules.

    + Install, modify, and maintain injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.

    + Complete work orders and machine record logs.

    + Serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager.

    + Assist with daily housekeeping procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + **MUST HAVE injection mold maintenance experience**

    + Troubleshooting

    + Preventive maintenance

    + PLC troubleshooting

    + Plastic injection molding experience

    + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Above average ability to deal effectively with people throughout the company.

    + Ability to work under pressure and time constraints with limited direct supervision.

    + Ability to create robust processes.

    + Familiarity with principles of carpentry, plumbing, electronics, welding, pneumatics, and machine mechanics.

    + Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI general machine guarding requirements.

    + Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.

    + Safety training including handling of hazardous chemicals/wastes and emergency response procedures.

    + Trades apprenticeship/training or equivalent.

    + Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance: 3 years required.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is climate-controlled, except near the machines where it can get warm. It is fairly loud due to the machines, but ear protection and PPE are provided. The position requires working on the 2nd shift (4pm-12am) or the 3rd shift (12am-8am), Monday through Friday, with some overtime on weekends.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Grandview, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.
