Job Summary
Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. This position is required to perform all Service Desk and Desktop functions. Additionally, position will support various teams in IT including Network and Server Operations. Position will require work in the office as well as field support. Work schedule may have varying hours, including some evenings and weekends. Weekly travel between field office and other operating locations may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Responds directly to support issues and service requests for field personnel.
+ Interfaces with other team members to provide additional information to assist in the resolution of incidents in a timely manner.
+ Addresses client requests quickly and effectively.
+ Ensures that all support requests are accurately and descriptively logged into the Help Desk tracking software.
+ Conducts hardware installations including workstations, laptops, printers, routers, and switches and provides infrastructure support as needed.
+ Assists in identifying trends in continuing hardware, software or system problems.
+ Trains users on software and hardware, on-site or in a classroom.
+ Works with carriers, service providers and vendors to correct issues.
+ Interacts with software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
+ Ability to work independently and self-manage day-to-day operations.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral
+ Proven team player
+ Stays current with technology by obtaining training on current hardware and software. Obtaining certificates when necessary.
+ Demonstrates positive leadership to teammates and end users, represents oneself as a positive stakeholder in all situations
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma (or GED)
+ Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite and Windows Operating Systems
+ Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
+ Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
+ An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or a related field from an accredited college or university.
+ Experience with oil and gas software
+ Second-level Help Desk support experience
+ Technical field support experience
Physical Requirements
+ Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
+ Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
+ Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
