Seeking a Quality Control Manager/Certified Welding Inspector that oversees all welding-related quality control operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal specifications. This role is responsible for maintaining welding documentation, procedures, and quality systems in accordance with ASME standards, while managing inspections throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure product reliability and compliance with established standards.
+ Inspection & Testing:
+ Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and welds. Perform visual weld inspections and verify adherence to welding procedures.
+ Documentation & Reporting:
+ Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Generate detailed inspection reports and recommend corrective actions as needed.
+ Team Leadership:
+ Lead and support the quality control team. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance to ensure a high-functioning department.
+ Customer Engagement:
+ Collaborate with customers to define quality criteria, resolve concerns, and maintain clear, timely communication.
+ Regulatory Compliance:
+ Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
+ Training & Development:
+ Identify training needs and provide guidance to welders and junior inspectors to uphold quality standards.
+ Issue Resolution:
+ Troubleshoot production issues in collaboration with engineering and project teams to minimize delays and costs.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years in quality control, with strong knowledge of AWS and ASME quality systems.
+ Certifications:
+ Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
