As a Program Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned projects and programs. You will execute programs to meet business financial goals and lead program teams composed of multidisciplinary personnel, including design engineers, manufacturing, and test teams, for major programs in support of USN and major primes. You will manage technical, quality, cost, schedule, and associated risk, and be responsible for new program capture, leading or supporting proposal preparation. You will articulate program cost and schedule performance, strategies for execution, and strategic improvements to senior leadership. Enhancing working relationships with an established customer base and prime partners, maintaining effective customer interfaces, and leading all contract formal reviews with customers are also key components of this role.
Responsibilities
+ Lead program teams composed of multidisciplinary personnel, including design engineers, manufacturing, and test teams.
+ Execute programs to meet business financial goals.
+ Manage technical, quality, cost, schedule, and associated risks.
+ Capture new programs and lead or support proposal preparation.
+ Articulate program cost and schedule performance to senior leadership.
+ Enhance working relationships with established customers and prime partners.
+ Maintain effective customer interfaces and lead contract formal reviews.
+ Communicate program status and risks to senior management.
+ Develop corrective actions to mitigate issues and changes to program scope.
+ Align resources in a multiple team member environment to ensure effective performance.
Essential Skills
+ Demonstrated experience in Program Management principles.
+ Proficiency in program planning, progress measurement, team coordination, and leadership.
+ Expertise in scope management and status reporting.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a technical context.
+ Leadership, organizational, motivational, mentorship, and negotiation skills.
+ Program execution to forecasted earnings, cash flow, bookings, and profit goals.
+ Knowledge and experience in Risk & Opportunity management.
+ Ability to analyze and respond appropriately to customer issues in a timely manner.
+ Reliability, flexibility, and detail-oriented approach.
+ Effective team building and professional behavior.
+ Meeting or exceeding schedule and financial goals and objectives on assigned programs.
+ Strong communications skills and experience presenting to customers and senior leadership.
+ Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ PMP certification.
+ Experience in product development engineering and defense industry.
+ Knowledge of underwater acoustics, sonar, transducer, and proposal writing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
