    The Construction Safety Director will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and administering safety, health, and environmental policies, programs, and training. This role entails strategic oversight of risk analysis and safety programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Review safety programs for subcontractors and attend meetings to discuss safety topics.

    + Conduct safety inspections on job sites to ensure compliance.

    + Provide strategic oversight of the risk analysis and safety program.

    + Keep leadership informed about safety concerns and recommend new policies and procedures.

    + Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to reduce the frequency of accidents and injuries.

    + Assist in minimizing overall workers' compensation costs.

    + Prescribe hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.

    + Administer and advise others across all disciplines on hazard control programs.

    + Plan, implement, communicate, and monitor safety policies and procedures with OSHA rules and regulations.

    + Observe safety and security procedures and determine appropriate actions.

    + Report observations that minimize operational risk and promote efficiency.

    + Develop and implement safety training programs for general safe work practices and specific hazards.

    + Provide training for new employees and review OSHA inquiries.

    + Maintain records for statistical measurement and conformance to safety industry standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or 6 years of construction safety management experience with a 2-year degree.

    + Proven ability to develop and implement a company-wide safety program.

    + OSHA 500 & 510 certifications.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software.

    + Driven and results-oriented with a strong, assertive personality.

    + Ability to work with all management levels.

    + Strong leadership and business acumen skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 7+ years of construction safety experience is a bonus.

    Work Environment

    The role requires working 80 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a work location split 50/50 between job sites and the office. Travel constitutes approximately 50%, depending on project locations, with periodic site visits expected. A vehicle allowance is provided.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
