Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the INSCOM, 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, DET-TX, 782d Military Intelligence Battalion, located in San Antonio, Texas. Responsibilities Serve as senior Exploitation Analyst (EA) subject matter expert for the 780th MI BDE (CYBER) serving in one of its subordinates and geographically dispersed Cyberspace Battalions or Detachments. As the EA, exercises a very high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and monitoring the activity's programs. Exercising judgment and ingenuity in guiding personnel in the analysis of these unique problems and in developing new and improved techniques and methods for the organization’s mission are inherent in this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-12 grade level, or equivalent, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Assists in the planning and coordinating of technical (network and infrastructure) analysis in support of national and theater Offensive Cyber Operation requirements; performing analysis in support of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)/Cyber Network Operations and Cyber Warfare plans, strategies and operations for the control and application of cyber capabilities; and preparing reviews, evaluating and publishing technical products, time sensitive reports, and event reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
