    Term of Assignment: Continuing

    Term End Date, If Applicable:

    FLSA Status: Exempt = not eligible for overtime

     

    Work Schedule:Traditionally Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required. Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in the summer.

     

    Salary:Targeted Salary Range: $49,000-$55,000

     

    Travel:No travel

    Brief Statement of Duties

    Brief Statement of Duties: Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Education:Associate's Degree

     

    Discipline/Degree Area: Nursing

     

    Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Associates or BSN degree.

     

    Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.

     

    Required Minimum Work Experience: Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:

    Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases and deformities to include symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions and preventive health-care measures.

     

    Customer and personal service-knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

     

    Oral and written communication-talking, listening and writing to and with others to convey information effectively.

     

    Service orientation-actively look for ways to help people.

     

    Interpersonal relationship skills.

     

    Attention to detail.

     

    Ability to document information concisely, completely and clearly.

     

    Additional Desirable Qualifications

    Additional Desirable Qualifications:

    Experience in a university health center setting.

     

    Electronic medical records experience.
