    The Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) Pulmonology department seeks a highly motivated and outgoing Certified Medical Assistant to support the practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and excellent communication and organizational skills. The Pulmonology Clinic is seeking an individual who can build rapport with patients, is a go-getter, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. If you are friendly, adaptable, and can work effectively under the supervision of providers, you will excel in this role, performing both clinical and administrative duties to contribute to the safe and quality care of patients.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide direct patient care support, including vital signs, health history intake, medication reviews, and assisting with procedures, ultrasounds, and Point of Care testing as delegated by providers

    + Manage patient flow and administrative duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, telephone screening, and maintaining accurate Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation

    + Maintain clinical operations through equipment setup and cleaning, specimen collection and laboratory coordination, and ensuring strict HIPAA confidentiality compliance

    Required Qualifications

    + High School Graduate with active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

    + Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting with demonstrated computer proficiency and medical terminology knowledge

    + Strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities under stress, and physical capability to lift patients and handle medical equipment
