Core Clinical Partners is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to lead our program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. The medical director is responsible for managing, directing and coordinating all aspects of the emergency department, as well as overseeing 3 urgent cares. This includes 5 FT physicians and 12 FT physician assistants and nurse practitioners over all sites. Other key responsibilities include resolving clinical operational issues, developing protocols and procedures and advising the program in recruitment and retention.

Position Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have past physician leadership experience in key organizational focuses such as:

+ Creating and maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the emergency medicine program;

+ Providing clinical and operational leadership in standards of care, quality outcomes, and patient safety.

+ Familiarity with patient experience, physician-to-patient communication strategies, and outcomes

+ Championing program vision, purpose, and engagement through solid communication, empowerment of team members, and showing clear connections to the organization’s goals

+ Demonstrates a track record of exceeding goals, driving results, managing complexities, and cultivating innovation

+ Creating competitive strategies that focus on future trends, marketplace advancements, and healthcare policies

Compensation:

+ $250.00 per hour (Days)

+ $265.00 per hour (Nights)

+ Medical Director Stipend: up to $10,000/month

As an Emergency Medicine Medical Director, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care for patients in an acute and dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities include:

+ Emergency Clinical Skills: Extensive knowledge and skill in treating a broad spectrum of emergency conditions, with the ability to act quickly and decisively in high-stress situations.

+ Resilience: Maintains composure under pressure, managing a high volume of patients with diverse needs in a fast-paced Emergency Department.

+ Team Leadership: Ability to lead and coordinate with APPs, nurses, and other staff, ensuring collaborative, efficient patient care.

+ Problem Solving and Decision-Making: Demonstrates strong analytical skills to assess situations, prioritize care, and manage resources effectively.

Patient and Family Communication: Proficient in communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedural steps to patients and their families with empathy and clarity.
