We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Electronics Test and Manufacturing Technician with hands-on experience in high-precision electronics assembly, testing, and manufacturing best practices. In this pivotal role, you'll build factory test fixtures, assemble and test high-density PCB assemblies, troubleshoot, and refine developmental and production optical/electronic systems. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to execute detailed assembly workflows, directly advancing the development of cutting-edge optical technologies.

Requirements
What You'll Do:
+ Build and test electronic assemblies: Collaborate with Manufacturing and Product Engineers to assemble, rework, repair and test ultra-precise devices, integrating electronic components, optical sub-assemblies, wire harnesses, and enclosures while adhering to work instructions.
+ Build and operate electro-mechanical PCBA test fixtures: Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of precision bed-of-nails test fixtures.
+ Ensure quality & compliance: Inspect materials, conduct in-process checks, and validate device performance through functional testing (setup, execution, teardown). Support safety and regulatory standards compliance testing.
+ Maintain Build Record: Create and update manufacturing databases with build and rework records to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
+ Refine workflows: Improve assembly documentation and provide actionable feedback to optimize processes.
+ Manage equipment: Calibrate lab tools and document maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
What We're Looking For:
+ Education & Experience: 2-year technical degree in electronics technology and 3+ years in electronic product testing and manufacturing environment (or equivalent). Also nice to have hands-on experience in optics and photonics and IPC or equivalent electronics manufacturing training.
+ Technical Proficiency: Interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and SOPs with meticulous attention to detail. Assemble and test intricate assemblies. Utilize productivity tools such as spreadsheets, bug tracking utilities, and PLMs. Proactively document process insights to drive improvements in product quality and manufacturing process efficiency.
+ Instrument Proficiency: Set up and operate laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, power supplies, microscopes and soldering/desoldering workstations.
+ Process Discipline: Methodically follow workflows while contributing to new process development.
+ Adaptability: Quickly master evolving equipment/processes in dynamic technical environments.
+ Compliance: Must meet U.S. export control requirements for “U.S. persons” (citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals).

Pay Range
Vector Atomic offers market-competitive compensation, encompassing base salary, a performance bonus, comprehensive benefits, and equity. The base salary range for this position, is $75,000 - $125,000 per year plus annual bonus. Please note that it is less common for candidates to be hired at the top of this range, as final compensation is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
