Job Description Summary:
The Manager, Leave Benefits is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of FMLA, OhioHealth’s leave programs, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations and programs, and Workers Compensation claims, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary liaison between OhioHealth and our Third-Party Administrator (TPA), ensuring seamless coordination and resolution of leave-related and disability management inquires. The manager will develop policies, team operations standards, provide training, and ensure associates receive the necessary support throughout their leave and accommodation process.
Responsibilities And Duties:
Leave Program Administration: oversee and manage all leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability (TDP), and company specific leaves policies.
ADA: Assess and coordinate reasonable accommodations, transitional work, and reassign ments under the ADA, collaborating with associates, managers, and HR to ensure compliance and effective implementation.
Workers Compensation Oversight: Manage the Workers’ Compensation process, collaborating with the TPA and internal stakeholders to support injured associate’s and their return to work.
TPA Coordination: Function as the primary contact for the Third-Party Administrator (TPA), ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), resolving escalated leave and disability inquires, and adopting processes that are best aligned with OhioHealth’s expectations.
Compliance and Policy Development: Ensure all leave, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation policies comply with relevant regulations. Develop and update policies as needed.
Associate and Manager Support: Guide associates and managers through leave, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation processes, ensuring clarity and compliance.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for managers and associates on leave policies, ADA accommodations, and Workers’ Compensation procedures.
Data Analysis and Reporting: monitor leave, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation trends, generating reports and providing insights to leadership with pro-active solutions to reduce absenteeism
Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR partners, legal, payroll, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure seamless administration.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance leave, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation management processes for efficiency and associate experience.

• Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, STD, Workers Compensation laws, and other leave-related policies.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in leave, ADA, Workers’ Compensation data reporting and trend analysis
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
