Job Summary:
Under direction of the Treatment Process Planner, the Water Treatment Process Technician III assists with the operation and maintenance of all water quality instrumentation and analyzers, collects and analyzes water quality and sludge samples, maintains records of work performed, and performs pertinent data entry. Additionally, they assist the Treatment Process Planner and/or the Water Treatment Process Technician I in the evaluation of new water treatment methods, techniques, and equipment. The position also works cooperatively with laboratory staff, control room operators, and maintenance staff to maintain a productive work environment and to achieve production and water quality goals. Cross-training with our control room operators will be performed to allow the Treatment Process Technician to cover the position of Assistant Plant Operator. Work Performed:
+ Assists in filter core sampling and filter performance evaluations.
+ Assists in the performance of filter backwash parameter evaluations.
+ Conducts analytical chemical testing.
+ Operates pilot plants and assists in the development of Pilot Plant test procedures.
+ Maintains on-line analytical equipment, including calibration, verification and placement evaluations.
+ Conducts treatment chemical evaluations for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the treatment process, including jar tests and trialing water quality monitoring equipment.
+ Assists in the development and carries out well testing and well treatment chemical evaluations.
+ Assists in the oversight and operation of the Superpulsators; Hypo Generation and related treatment systems.
+ Maintain records using Excel spreadsheets and graphing functions. Uses Oracle/WAM for timekeeping, work requests, work order and purchase order creation.
+ Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
+ Adheres to and promotes the Company safety policy and practices as it pertains to the job.
Qualifications:
+ Two year degree preferred in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
+ Ability to obtain T-2 license within three years of date of hire.
+ Two years experience as Water Treatment Process Technician II.
+ Valid drivers license.
+ Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
Compensation & Benefits:
+ Salary Range: $47,878 – $71,817 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
