Manager, Project Management - Data Science/Data Insights)

What does a successful Project Manager do at Fiserv** **?

Our Data Commerce Solutions team harnesses this scale to create impactful products and insights. From detecting fraud and analyzing economic trends to empowering small businesses with customer insights, we drive meaningful change across the business landscape.

As a Project Manager within Data Commerce Solutions, you will manage and coordinate strategic projects for our data driven Data Insights & Data Science portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the leadership team to identify challenges, solve complex problems, and mitigate risks. You will lead various cross-functional projects, which include current operational initiatives, new business ventures, client projects, and strategic partnerships.

You are a detail-oriented and experienced individual with a strong background in project management, particularly in data-centric fields. You are self-motivated and versatile and can manage multiple priorities and provide problem-solving leadership with minimal oversight.

What you will do:

+ Collaborate with Data Insights and Data Science teams, as well as other Fiserv divisions, to undertake diverse assignments that align with the needs, interests, and priorities of the business unit.

+ Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects within the Data Insights & Data Science portfolio.

+ Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

+ Develop detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and deliver every project on time within budget and scope.

+ Establish key performance metrics, develop dashboards, and prepare management reports to monitor and communicate project progress.

+ Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

+ Establish regular communication cadences and collaborate with Leaders to ensure successful project execution.

+ Present project status updates, findings, and recommendations to the Leadership Team.

What you will need to have:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, data science, or related field.

+ 6+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, particularly in data-centric or technology-driven environments.

+ Proven experience in managing the delivery of data-driven products and solutions to clients.

+ Familiarity with data engineering and data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Spark).

What would be great to have:

+ Expertise in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Fraud, and a strong understanding of Data Engineering and Data Science principles.

+ Experience utilizing data and metrics to validate theories, confirm assumptions, and measure project success.

+ A constant desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

+ PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent.
