Job Description:
Position Summary
This position is responsible for building equity and driving profitable growth across the company’s private label portfolio. This role focuses on elevating brand awareness, enhancing shopper engagement, and telling the unique story of each brand. The Sr. Manager will collaborate closely with the OwnBrands team, as well as cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Finance, Retail, Marketing Services, and Sales, to strengthen brand presence and performance across retail and wholesale channels.
Here's What You'll Do:
Strategic Vision & Growth
+ Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term goals of the OwnBrands portfolio for both retail banners and wholesale customers.
+ Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute brand strategies and category plans that align with business objectives.
Brand Equity &** **Marketing
+ Establish and maintain brand equity and architecture across the OwnBrands portfolio, ensuring consistent messaging to shoppers, internal teams, and wholesale partners.
+ Lead the development of shopper experience plans across all brands, including creative direction and media strategy.
+ Manage and enhance brand health through effective marketing initiatives and brand stewardship.
Brand Performance
+ Monitor and analyze brand performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve sales and profitability targets.
+ Identify and pursue opportunities for profitable growth through marketing campaigns, innovation, and category expansion.
Team Leadership
+ Lead a team of marketing professionals, guiding brand execution and fostering brand ownership across the portfolio.
+ Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development within the team.
Additional Responsibilities
+ Take on additional responsibilities as assigned or as the business needs evolve.
Here's What You'll Need:
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
+ Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
+ Minimum of 7+ years of experience in marketing or a related field.
+ At least 5+ years in leadership roles, demonstratingexpertise in portfolio and brand management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
Skills & Abilities
+ Strong analytical mindset and financial acumen.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to develop and implement long-term brand strategies that align with business goals and resonate with target audience.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and shopper preferences
+ Ability to inspire and lead a marketing team towards achieving strategic goals.
Travel Requirements
+ Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, at least 25% depending on business needs.
