Job Description
What You’ll Do:
AEP is seeking talented and motivated Communications Representative (Associate) to become an integral part of our communications services team.
+ Create high-quality, expert communications for employees.
+ Assure that messages, materials and approach align with the AEP brand.
+ Manage a comprehensive editorial calendar to ensure smooth execution and integrated planning.
+ Identify ways to convey information so it is easy to understand and appealing – using a variety of communication tools to generate interest (written articles, infographics, videos, etc.)
+ Edit and write external content as needed, including social media posts, web page content, stories, etc.
+ Collaborate with other teams to create compelling digital content.

What We’re Looking For:
+ Ability to simplify complex topics
+ Passion for writing, editing and storytelling across multiple communication channels (intranet, video, email, podcasts, digital signs, posters, etc.)
+ Capable of delivering well-crafted materials under deadline
+ Energy, resourcefulness and self-motivation
+ Demonstrated ability to write and produce content for multiple audiences/stakeholders
+ Strong proofreading and editing skills with knowledge of AP Style
What You’ll Get:
Communications Representative Associate (Grade 04) $52,488 - $65,610
**Education Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, communications, public relations, or related degree.
Communication Representative (Grade 05) $61,647 - $77,057
**Education Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in, journalism, advertising, communications, public relations or equivalent. Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
**Work Experience Requirement:** Two years’ experience as a Communications Associate (internal) or five years of equivalent experience in a corporate/agency/nonprofit newspaper or broadcast news.

$52,488.00-65,610.50 USD
