Required Education/Experience

+ High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required or

+ Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required or

+ Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge is required

Relevant Work Experience

+ Knowledge and experience in maintaining, machine shop equipment fundamentals and mechanical rotating equipment apparatus such as pumps, motors, valves etc. Preferred

+ Knowledge and experience in maintaining / installing electrical equipment. Preferred

+ Knowledge and experience in substations/ steam plants/ electrical operations/ gas operations. Preferred

+ Strong understanding of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures and implementing repair plans. Preferred

+ Ability to read and interpret layouts and engineering drawings. Preferred

Skills and Abilities

+ Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure

+ Ability to lead/manage others

+ Builds and manages effective teams

+ Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

+ Ability to respond to system emergencies

+ Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations

+ Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment

+ Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

+ Use hand-eye coordination to adjust controls on equipment

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
