Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Firewall Engineer with a bachelor’s in computer science or related field and proven expertise in firewall design, implementation, and management.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewall management and monitoring tools like Palo Alto, Cisco ASA.
Your role
+ Design, deploy, and manage firewall solutions to ensure the security and integrity of the network.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop security strategies that align with business objectives.
+ Monitor firewall performance, analyze security logs, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
+ architecture solutions for hardware, software platforms
+ Develop and implement automation practices to streamline firewall configuration, monitoring, and management.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation, including firewall diagrams and configuration guides, using tools such as Visio and Lucid chart.
+ Understand and apply network security principles, including the OSI model, DNS, and IPv6.
+ Assess and optimize the firewall infrastructure in terms of performance and compliance with industry standards.
+ Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
+ Utilize tools such as Tufin for policy management and network security automation.Summarize complex technical information clearly and effectively for diverse audiences.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to support project success.
+ Stay current with emerging security technologies and industry trends to enhance network protection.
**Your skills and experience** :
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in firewall engineering, design, and implementation.
+ Hands-on experience with firewall management and monitoring tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point).
+ Strong understanding of network security protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
+ Familiarity with firewall policies and rule sets.
+ Proficient in technical documentation and using design tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
+ Experience with Tufin or similar security policy management tools.
+ Experience with LTM/GTM Products.
+ Experience with NetConf/Yang, GRPC, and Openflow protocols.
+ Familiarity with cloud security solutions, specifically AWS security configurations.
+ Knowledge of additional firewall-related technologies such as web application firewalls (WAFs) and next-generation firewalls (NGFWs).
+ Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, or vendor-specific firewall certifications, F5 Load balancing certificate Preferred).
