Summary You will serve as a TEST EXPERIMENTATION & PLANNING SPECIALIST in the Systems Tests & Operational Assessment Division within the Systems Acceptance & Operational Readiness Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will serve as a senior systems level project coordinator for operational torpedo, UUV (Unmanned Undersea Vehicle), USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle), and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) programs for the branch. You will establish Test and Evaluation engineering and architectures and manage all aspects of test and experimentation for technical performance evaluations. You will serve as a technical expert on all phases of in-water testing on various ground truth ranges. You will direct a large group of engineers, logisticians and/or technical assistants in planning, mobilization for, execution, demobilization, and data capture, and reporting of in-water test events. You will coordinate with headquarters, laboratories, and contractors to assure that work is done, technical problems are solved, and liaison is maintained. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating test and evaluation assessments for the development of undersea systems or technologies. For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing test and evaluation requirements for the development of undersea systems or technologies.
