The Director, Acquisitions & Strategic Assessments, will be a key member of the J&J Innovative Medicine Business Development team that will partner across Therapeutic Areas to deliver robust M&A analysis and execution. Specifically, this role will function as critical resource for the Innovative Medicine Business Development team, driving strategic M&A assessments, developing best practices across key business processes, and advancing overall capabilities of the M&A team.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of the Director, Acquisitions, will include:
+ Lead key elements of M&A evaluation and execution, including leadership of corporate diligences, integration proposals/assessments, overall communication plans, as well as development of critical internal approval materials (i.e. ARs, communication planning, etc)
+ Leverage technical, analytical, and financial skills in order to deliver robust, comprehensive analysis in support of all therapeutic area business development opportunities
+ Development of robust and compelling presentation materials for senior leadership, turning detailed analytics into thorough, comprehensive M&A target recommendations; both technical / systems skills as well as strong communication skills will be critical to success in this capacity
+ Present internally championed acquisition assessments to senior leadership
+ Work independently to deliver results in complex/ambiguous assessments, driving multiple parallel opportunities across matrixed teams
+ Partner with internal cross functional and external business partners, including developing a range of relationships with external environment (i.e. key investment banking contacts)
+ In collaboration with BD colleagues, contribute to the development and enhancement of processes, templates, and data capture systems to be utilized by the business development group
+ Track key internal and external M&A benchmarks related to deal activity, external deal environment, and macroeconomic trends
+ Lead and own key global external data resources (i.e. Factset, Evaluate Pharma, etc), developing a vision for implementation of tools, techniques, and methodologies to optimize business development assessments
+ Adhoc support for wide variety of business development initiatives
Qualifications
+ BA/BS minimum requirement, preferably with business focus; MBA preferred
+ Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant business experience required
+ Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is required
+ Experience with business analytics and finance preferred
+ Strong technical / system skills, with ability to quickly become expert across range of internal and external IT tools
+ Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills are required.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in cross-functional teams
+ Experience in communicating and influencing a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally and with varying levels from functional personnel to senior leaders
+ This role may require some travel (up to 10% domestic and international travel)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
146,000-250,000
