Job Description
AECOM is seeking a **Senior Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager** to support our exciting Design Build program for our New York City client.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides overall support for the program and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
+ Provides technical direction and guidance to the project planning, procurement, design, and construction management teams.
+ Maintains close client interface and reports on critical MEP issues.
+ Visits the field to review any MEP issues, field conditions, and provide recommendations or reports as needed.
+ Provide guidance regarding DOB and MEP code compliance and interpretation.
+ Manage MEP constructability teams, and engage with critical stakeholders.
+ Enforce the contract with the Design-Build team for compliance.
+ Communicate effectively with internal staff and external partners
+ Support quality control of received contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
**Mechanical Qualifications** :
+ BA/BS plus ten years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ 6 years of experience in the construction industry.
+ Experience working in an MEP environment.
+ Experience in construction in electrical, mechanical, telecom, technology or mission critical environments.
+ Experience running larger scale projects.
+ Fluency in construction documentation including scope writing, purchasing, scheduling, planning, invoicing.
+ Experience in ground-up construction.
+ Ability to guide/train and mentor junior staff members.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
+ Qualified candidates will be highly organized, professional and have excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to oversee and facilitate several mechanical/electrical housing projects simultaneously, at various stages.
+ Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings.
+ Ability to travel to various project sites across the 5 Boroughs of New York on occasion.
Additional Information
+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
+ Relocation is not available for this position.
+ Position includes (2) remote work days a week.
+ This position will be required to report to client office (3) days a week.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $180,000.00 - $245,000.00.
