Overview
This position is responsible to design, implement, and manage large, multiple, and highly complex energy efficiency and demand response programs and components for PPL Electric Utilities' residential, income-eligible, and business customers. These programs help customers reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, create and maintain a positive image for the company, and allow the company to achieve its business and regulatory objectives for energy efficiency and demand response. This position is primarily responsible for demand response program components including electric vehicle managed charging, commercial and industrial daily load shifting and thermostat optimization.
Responsibilities
+ Design, implement, deliver, and manage one or more of the Company's energy efficiency and demand response programs and/or components to cost-effectively meet the needs of customers, assure high customer satisfaction, and meet all business and regulatory objectives such as energy savings, peak load reductions, and cost objectives. Manage an annual budget of approximately $3 to $25 million. Collaborate with a cross functional team of internal/external partners to design and implement programs and components within their specified scope, schedule, and budget. Tasks may also include identifying, developing, coordinating, negotiating, and managing contracts to successfully implement the programs.
+ Assist in planning and developing the multi-year Energy Efficiency and Conservation plan.
+ Advise and review marketing/advertising plans and creative content to ensure the marketing, advertising, communication, website, trade ally networks, and other outreach will achieve desired program or component performance.
+ Request, coordinate, and ensure market research and other analyses are completed to identify potential program participants, to confirm program goals are reasonably attainable, to ensure program-specific marketing is effective, to continuously improve program performance and customer satisfaction, to anticipate and understand market trends and best practices, and for other purposes related to energy efficiency/DSM programs.
+ Coordinate with distribution operations teams on demand response activities to align with Company priorities, where possible.
+ Design, implement, and manage program performance metrics, key leading/lagging indicators, QA/QC, reports, and other business processes and controls to accurately monitor, forecast, and control program performance (cost, schedule, energy savings, customer satisfaction, etc.). Ensure the program captures the information required by regulators, evaluators, and the company to document customer and program eligibility, to document and calculate savings, and to ensure costs and savings are correctly allocated to customer sectors and programs.
+ This position is an individual contributor role.

Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent - Business, sustainability, energy, engineering, or technical discipline. Marketing and/or communications with appropriate experience.
Required Experience:
+ 5+ years’ Experience and extensive knowledge of energy efficiency/DSM programs, with direct experience managing demand response offerings for a regulated utility, energy services company, or program implementation vendor.
+ Applicable knowledge of energy efficiency and demand response program best practices, evaluation issues, and implementation strategies. Understanding of residential and commercial and industrial building systems, equipment, and processes as they relate to energy usage and efficiency. Awareness of market partners and channels for successful delivery of energy efficiency programs, equipment, and technology.
+ Excellent leadership, integrity, communication, public speaking, customer service, and project and program management skills.
+ Proficiency in the use of common office software. Established analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Graduate degree including business, sustainability, analytics, or engineering disciplines.
+ 7+ years in the development, deployment, and management of energy related products, services, and/or customer communication programs.
+ Proven experience in the development of energy related products, services, program strategy plans, or communication strategies.
+ Experience in the development of budgets and high-level financial plans.
+ Building science background and/or certifications.
+ Advanced analytical capabilities to include spreadsheet expertise, visualization software, machine learning and/or use of artificial intelligence.
