Position Summary
Plans, develops, coordinates, manages, and executes the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution’s strategic goals. Represents the institution to prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body. May supervise staff and/or lead a program area.
Responsibilities
+ Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities.
+ Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures. Advise prospective/admitted students and their families about admission requirements, the application process, and the benefits of a UWRF experience.
+ Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events. Participate in extensive recruitment and yield travel, including evening, overnight, and weekend work, primarily during the fall and spring months.
+ Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the Institution.
+ Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement.
+ Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
+ Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
+ Engages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students. Represent UW-River Falls during high school visits, college fairs, campus visits, and other specialized recruitment events.
+ Establish, develop, and maintain effective communication with students, parents, counselors, and other stakeholders throughout the admission and enrollment process.
+ Stay informed about the university’s academic programs, involvement opportunities, support services, financial aid, cost of attendance, and admissions/enrollment policies.
+ Regularly serve as Visit Host to meet the needs of those visiting campus.
+ Routinely follow-up with prospective students, applicants, and admits and assist them through the enrollment process.
+ Maintain appropriate records in the CRM to monitor recruitment and yield activities and track students throughout the enrollment cycle.
+ Serve as an active member of the Admissions team; working collaboratively to recruit and enroll a high-qualified, diverse group of new students.
+ Assist with or coordinate special projects as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Qualifications Required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
+ Skilled communicator (oral and written), with success in developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships and providing exceptional customer service
+ Organization and attention to detail, with an ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines
+ Ability to exercise solid professional judgment and maintain confidentiality
+ Commitment to developing an inclusive, highly collaborative work environment
+ Valid Wisconsin driver’s license or ability to obtain one
Qualifications Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s degree from UWRF or strong familiarity with UWRF programs and services
+ Experience working in higher education or related field
+ Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) tools, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new and changing technology in enrollment management

Employment will require a criminal background check. Final candidates will be required to provide three professional references with at least one being a prior supervisor.
