    Qualifications** **you’ll** **bring:

    + Extensive experience in AI strategy and governance, preferably within a healthcare or payer organization.

    + Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, data science and their applications in healthcare.

    + Proven experience in establishing and managing governance frameworks for data and AI projects.

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    + Knowledge of healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and ethical standards related to AI.

    + Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    + Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Business Administration.

    + Previous experience working in or with healthcare payer organizations.

    + Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and trends in the healthcare industry.

    Your key responsibilities:

    + **Strategic Oversight:** Develop and refine the strategic vision for AI within the organization. Ensure that AI initiatives align with our overall business objectives and address key challenges in the healthcare payer sector.

    + **Governance Framework:** Establish and enforce a robust governance framework for AI projects, including policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure that all AI activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines. Stand up and lead our AI Center of Excellence.

    + **Project Oversight:** Monitor and review the progress of AI projects, ensuring they meet performance metrics, timelines, and budget constraints. Provide high-level guidance to project teams without being involved in day-to-day technical execution.

    + **Compliance and Risk Management:** Ensure AI initiatives comply with healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and industry best practices. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with AI implementations.

    + **Data Requirements and Management for AI-Readiness:** The ability to assess data needs depending on the AI use cases. Work with the business to evolve data management practices and build up the data management ecosystem. Guide and provide insights to scale and govern data solutions and systems.

    + **Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of AI strategies with business needs. Communicate the impact and benefits of AI initiatives to stakeholders and decision-makers.

    + **Strategic Partnerships:** Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in AI.

    + **Ethical AI Advocacy:** Promote responsible AI practices and ethical considerations. Address any concerns related to biases, fairness, and transparency in AI systems.

    + **Performance Measurement:** Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of AI initiatives. Report on the status and outcomes of AI projects to senior management.

    + **Team Leadership:** Provide leadership and direction to the AI team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

    + Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.

The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles.
