Join Our Team as Credit Analyst II!
Becoming a Credit Analyst II means stepping into a mission-driven role at the intersection of finance and the energy market. You won’t just be analyzing numbers — you’ll be helping protect the financial health and stability of the regional power grid that millions of people and businesses rely on every day.
This position plays a vital role in evaluating the creditworthiness of SPP’s market participants, which include utility companies and other energy industry entities. You’ll conduct in-depth financial analysis — both quantitative and qualitative — to establish appropriate credit limits in accordance with SPP’s credit policy. Your efforts will help prevent systemic risk, ensuring one company’s financial failure doesn’t ripple through and destabilize the broader energy market.
Beyond credit assessments, you’ll also contribute to core operational functions like supporting registration and certification processes, participating in collection efforts for unpaid amounts or credit violations and reconciling collateral. You’ll collaborate across departments and take on projects that give you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders in a regulated, high-impact environment.
If you thrive on detail-oriented financial work, enjoy problem-solving in a fast-moving, high-stakes setting, and want to be part of a team that safeguards critical infrastructure, this role is for you. At SPP, your analytical skills will directly support the integrity and security of the energy markets — work that truly makes a difference.
