Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our building and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing repairs and renovations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.

+ Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.

+ Oversee building projects, renovations, and refurbishments.

+ Ensure the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.

+ Manage service contracts and relationships with external vendors (cleaning, maintenance, security, etc.).

+ Supervise multi-disciplinary teams including maintenance, grounds, and custodial staff.

+ Develop and manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

+ Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving improvements.

+ Ensure compliance with government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.

+ Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.

Requirements:

+ Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role.

+ Strong knowledge of facilities management operations and best practices.

+ Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).

+ Experience with budgeting and performance management.

+ Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

+ Good analytical/critical thinking skills.

Working Conditions:

+ On-site work required.

+ May involve occasional after-hours or emergency response duties.

+ Physical activity including walking across facilities, climbing ladders, and inspecting building systems.
