    Description

    SAIC is looking a **Cognitive Performance Specialist (CPS)** for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program at the First Army Command Headquarters (HQ) at **Fort Cavazos, Texas** .

     

    This position is contingent upon contract award in the Spring of 2025. The CPS will act as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will include Headquarters and Division based resources focused upon optimizing Soldier readiness and performance within the Army’s new Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System.

     

    **Job Duties** :

    + Train and educate Soldiers in individual and group settings, based upon evidence-based peer-reviewed literature, in specific cognitive, mental, behavioral, psychosocial, perceptual learning, and adaptive thinking skills.

    + Developing lines of communication within the HQ leadership to ensure the command identified objectives for cognitive training are being executed.

    + Support the Strength and Conditioning (SCC) staff by developing and delivering cognitive training programs that can be integrated into physical conditioning sessions delivered by the SCC.

    + Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the HQ H2F lead as required.

    + Coordinate and assist the BDE leadership and/or the BDE Athletic Trainers (AT) to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    + Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one (1) year of related experience.

    **Qualifications** :

    + Relevant experience is defined as developing and executing task and environment specific functional cognitive performance and health/well-being programs for groups of professional/collegiate athletes or DoD/Department of Homeland Security/Department of Justice entities focused on a common sport or mission performance goal.

    + Employment related to internships or graduate work up to one year will be considered towards relevant experience.

    Clearance:

    + Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
