This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 and will depend upon experience.
This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Position Summary:
TheJr. Manufacturing Engineerwill support the development, setup, and optimization of automated and manual production processes within the Hybrid and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) areas. This role will also contribute to test engineering activities, equipment programming, and process documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a highly technical, team-driven environment.
Key Position Accountabilities:
+ Support the setup and development of a new automation line in the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) area, ensuring efficient integration and functionality.
+ Assist in the setup, programming, and documentation of new manufacturing equipment in the Hybrid assembly area.
+ Program and document a range of production equipment including: automation systems, wire bonders, pick-and-place machines and optical inspection tools
+ Perform electrical testing of Hybrid and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components to verify product quality and performance standards.
+ Contribute to test engineering efforts by executing defined tasks and supporting root cause and corrective action investigations.
+ Apply strong technical writing and communication skills to create and maintain work instructions, equipment logs, and process documentation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support productivity and process improvement initiatives.
+ Ensure all processes and documentation are compliant with industry standards, particularly MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-STD-883.
+ Maintain an active presence on the production floor, providing hands-on engineering support to operators and technicians.
+ Participate in continuous improvement efforts with a focus on efficiency, quality, and repeatability in production processes.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor-s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
+ 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; internship/co-op experience considered.
+ Familiarity with hybrid circuit and SMT manufacturing processes.
+ Exposure to or experience with electrical testing equipment and techniques.
+ Strong understanding of industry standards (MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, JEDEC, IPC) preferred.
