RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and negotiates award documents to ensure award terms and conditions comply with applicable laws, regulations and policies and protect the interests of the Medical Center and its investigators. Provides sponsored program budget development and clinical trial agreement development and execution.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Continuous: static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent: sitting, walking. Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, repetitive arm/hand motions. Operates a computer, typewriter, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education/Certification and Licensure:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field, healthcare administration, business administration or related field.
2. Masters degree preferred.
B. Experience:
1. Two (2) years contracts/grants negotiation/administration work experience, preferably relating to clinical trials and/or contract research.
2. Two (2) years general accounting or bookkeeping work experience preferred.
3. Three (3) years work experience in creating and maintaining financial reports on computer spreadsheets, preferably on Excel.
