Job Overview
To provide placement and testing services to a diverse student population in a welcoming, confidential and student-focused environment.
Associate degree preferred.
Ability to understand and interpret assessment administration guidelines. Ability to learn, use and troubleshoot multiple computer technologies and proprietary software. Ability to schedule assessments appropriately based on multiple variables including the college calendar, test vendor requirements, student availability, potential length of test sessions, and seasonal fluctuations in demand. Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in an organized manner. Ability to keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates a commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful interactions with persons of diverse ethnic, cultural, social-economic, or educational backgrounds. Competent, thorough, and consistent in administration and scoring a variety of standardized tests. Detail-oriented and proficient in recordkeeping, keyboarding, and computer skills.
Administer placement and testing services for the college and partnering institutions.
Coordinate and schedule appointments for testing services provided at the NICC Dubuque Center including, but not limited to: College Placement, Adult Education & Literacy, Pearson Vue, Automotive Service Excellence, Iowa Department of Public Health, Department of Natural Resources, ServSafe, Iowa Dental Board, etc.
Maintain a confidential and comfortable testing environment for all students and candidates, including those receiving testing accommodations for qualified disabilities.
Adhere to the proctor requirements and policies of the college, partnering agencies and institutions.
Collect and process applicable testing fees according to college policy.
Collaborate with staff to ensure a high level of student-driven customer service.
Assist with providing institutional and regulatory reports as requested.
Maintain student files and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission of NICC.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
