Duration: 06 months contract

Responsibilities:

+ As a Pharmacy Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, specialty pharmacy, you will work with specialized and complex therapies that are delivered to patients.

+ Key responsibilities: Communication with patients, prescribers, and colleagues.

+ Frequent phone conversations, emails, faxes.

+ Fulfilment of prescriptions, packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching financial assistance. Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist.

+ Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports. Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

Experience:

+ Retail, specialty pharmacy experience, mail order pharmacy

+ At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.

+ Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.

+ Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.

+ Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.

Education:

+ Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

+ CA state pharmacy technician licensure is required.

+ The national certificate, PTCB can be left as a preferred but not required certificate.
