Overview
**Schedule:** Day Shifts
**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** This position will lead the Early Childhood outpatient team within the Community Behavioral Health (CBH) program. The Early Childhood team provides mental health services for children ages birth to 5 years and their families, and training of psychology interns and fellows to provide mental health services to children ages birth to 5, as part of the contract with the LA County Dept of Mental Health. The Psychotherapists (IV) Manager acts as a leader for work area providing training, capacity building, supervision, and mentorship for clinical staff and allied health professionals. Develops policies and procedures to comply with best practices and program requirements. Provides psychotherapeutic services for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs. Responsible for providing assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapeutic services to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups. Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Provides mental health services within their assigned division or program area. This position is a designated leadership role within the department, hospital-wide committees, local/national committees, work groups, or task force. Manager, Psychotherapist IV facilitates clinical and administrative supervision of mental health clinicians (psychology interns and fellows, social work trainees, unlicensed/licensed staff, and/or licensed psychologists) and treatment teams/programs/clinics with an appointed division/department leadership role. Administrative duties include staff or program development, development and management of team goals, quality assurance and adherence to clinical treatment protocols. Directs and supervises faculty/staff/trainees, completes annual staff reviews (along with Division Chief/Director/Manager), manages clinical staff schedules, maintains compliance with routine audits of staff, utilization management, performance improvement, and other duties, as deemed necessary.) will be responsible for facilitating and providing weekly staff meetings, didactic presentations, including lectures to trainees and staff; and facilitating/participating in meetings at which teaching and training programs are developed.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:** Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a licensed therapist. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with the development, implementation and evaluation of supervision, training, and quality assurance activities. Experience with multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in health care setting. Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish/English). Expertise in providing therapy to children ages birth to five and their families, and providing supervision to psychology trainees. Highly desired skills are expertise in Child-Parent Psychotherapy and endorsement as an Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist and a Reflective Practice Mentor. Additionally, DMH experience is preferred.
**Education/Licensure/Certification:** MA/MS Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology. Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
Pay Scale Information
$94,224.00-$169,728.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
