    In this position...

     

    Be the Subject Matter Expert to implement, maintain and enforce the Quality Operating System (QOS) and standards. Ensure compliance against quality standards, at all steps of the production process. Act as the first line of defense to root cause analyze, document and resolve any quality issues experienced by Production.

    What you'll do…

    + Implement, maintain and enforce the Quality Operating System (QOS) by providing statistical support and assistance

    + Provide process & component verification compliance

    + Support Dynamic Control Plan (DCP) Team, by gauging compliance with regard to surveys, Reliability & Repeatability (R&R) and the Master Document List (MDL)

    + Documenting Plant Quality compliance via DCP, Operator Instruction Sheets (OIS) and Work Element Sheets WES)

    + Assist teams to resolve external and internal quality related concerns

    + Lead Assembly Dept Daily, Weekly, Monthly Management Quality reviews discussions

    + Manage and facilitate all Quality related meetings

    + Drive completion of Assembly Quality 5D’s and 8D’s.

    + Establish and verify In Station Process Controls (ISPC) and robust error proofing methods

    + Support new and existing product programs, as well as, equipment selection and evaluation, by establishing processes, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements

    + Update department processes per corporate Ford Automotive Procedures (FAP) and Powertrain Procedures (PTPs)

    + Coach and teach plant teams on new and revised FAPs, PTPs, QOS and Ford Production System (FPS) items

    + Update internal Quality Operation System, to reflect external concerns (i.e. Warranty, Things Gone Wrong, etc.) by making Quality Confirmation Mapping (QCM), DCP, and Process updates as required

    + Coordinate internal actions when necessary for the resolution of product quality concerns

    + Apply Quality Operating System guidelines across various departments.

     

    You'll have...

     

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + 1+ years of experience in Quality, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    + Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical or Electrical) Engineering.

    + Knowledge of engine design/architecture & engine manufacturing processes.

    + Knowledge of Quality Operating System.

    + Demonstrated successful leadership of multiple, simultaneous projects.

    + Understanding of Powertrain Operations

    + Working knowledge of Quality and Warranty reporting systems and standards like Balanced Single Agenda for Quality (BSAQ), Quality Worx, Quality Leadership System - Component Manufacturing (QLS-CM).

    + Six Sigma Green Belt

    This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
