    In this position...

     

    As Vehicle Integration Technical Program Manager, you will use your technical expertise to holistically drive complex problems to completion. You will work with the vehicle program, system engineering, and software teams to scope work, plan requirements, identify risks, and clearly communicate ongoing progress associated with vehicle bring-up and integrating vehicle features.

     

    Ford is seeking an experienced Software Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Vehicle Integration. The TPM will be responsible for driving the team to meet their committed deliverables as well as working with the engineers, technical leads, and managers across the broader organization to assess risk, communicate status, and drive closure to key issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electric vehicle features, managing systems integration, excellent project management skills, and experience working with highly cross-functional teams. Product launch experience with a vehicle OEM in systems, software, or testing is required.     What you'll do…

    + Manage vehicle features definition and requirements with Product and Systems Engineering teams

    + Work with vehicle programs and product teams to build feature implementation schedule

    + Coordinate with various controls, systems, and integration teams to establish feature delivery roadmaps, define key deliverable delivery dates, and tie deliverables to engineering milestones.

    + Work Right-to-Left to ensure that the software development plans meet end-user needs, support hardware and system DV test plans, and meet engineering program milestones.

    + Coordinate with vehicle program management on prototype vehicle and test asset allocation. Ensure engineers have the resources that they need, at the time that they need it, to complete their development, testing, and validation.

    + Manage vehicle bring-up activities

    + Coordinate with software, systems engineering, and electrical teams to manage vehicle systems integration for vehicle features

    You'll have…

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

    + Minimum of 5 years program management experience on automotive software development, verification and validation, or quality assurance

    + Product launch experience with a vehicle OEM in systems, software, or testing

    + Experience with managing electric vehicle features is required

    + Experience with managing vehicle systems integration is required

    + Experience in defect management, agile methodology, CI/CD

    + Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment

    + Excellent program management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans

    + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
